THE TEAM
The Marketing department’s strategic objective is to provide marketing, digital and social media support to our Talent Management, Live, TV Production and Distribution divisions. Focusing on campaign planning and management, content creation, reporting and analysis, data management, branding positioning, merchandise and licensing, the aim is to maximize income and outreach for our talent and brands. The vast combined knowledge of our twelve-member team contributes to the success of our division and is continually exploring new and creative ways to enhance our talent and brands' exposure. The focus of the digital team is to strategize and execute ways to raise awareness and engagement with the production, client, or media through creative, brand-aligned content.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Social Media Manager will sit within the Marketing team and lead the development and execution of social-first campaigns. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, shaping channel growth, creating engaging content, and delivering high-impact campaigns across platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X.
The role requires creative thinking, strong platform instinct, and the ability to manage multiple high-profile campaigns simultaneously. This position is suited for someone who is both strategic and execution focused, with a passion for storytelling, audience growth, and culturally relevant content.
Working closely with internal teams, external partners, and talent, you will play a key role in bringing campaigns to life while contributing to the continued growth of Avalon's digital presence.
This role will include:
$70,000 - $85,000 Annual

- Lead the day-to-day management and growth of social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X, ensuring a consistent and engaging presence across platforms.
- Develop and execute social media strategies that build awareness, grow audiences, and deepen engagement around Avalon clients and productions, working alongside Avalon’s global marketing team.
- Manage content calendars, posting schedules, and publishing workflows, keeping everything timely and on brand.
- Take a hands-on approach to content creation, producing social-first material in-house across video, light-touch graphics, and copy, from concept to delivery.
- Track performance across growth, engagement, and reach, turning data into clear recommendations that inform strategy.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key clients and talent, allowing for strong and consistent creative collaboration.
- Manage Social Media Assistant (once hired), supporting their development and attending weekly 1-to-1s.
- Maintain annual content calendars, manage day-to-day scheduling and publishing workflows across all active channels.
- Work closely with influencers, press, and agency teams to ensure a cohesive and well-coordinated approach to all social activity.
- Provide on-the-ground social coverage at key events and activations, including content capture and real-time publishing, with flexibility to travel as needed.
- Capture social content with talent and identify behind-the-scenes content opportunities at marketing shoots and on location.
- Manage community across all social platforms, ensuring timely, brand-appropriate responses to comments, direct messages, and all audience interactions.
- Act as a point of contact between external agencies and internal stakeholders, maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout campaign delivery.
- Stay informed of platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging formats, translating findings into recommendations for ongoing considerations.
- Attend bi-weekly check-in meetings with Avalon’s UK-based digital team for ideation sessions, campaign updates, and to communicate resource needs.
- Work closely with the Social Media Assistant (once hired), managing team workflow and identifying opportunities for delegation and collaboration.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take ownership and drive projects forward.
- Creative and idea-driven, with a genuine enthusiasm for making content and a strong instinct for what works across all social platforms.
- A strong communicator with a collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders, including those in other time zones.
- A good understanding of brand tone of voice, with the ability to adapt approach across different shows and platforms.
- A strong interest in comedy and genuine enthusiasm for the broader entertainment landscape, spanning television, live performance, and theatre.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Editing and design skills are a bonus but not essential.
