Key Responsibilities
The Senior Sales Manager, Distribution, drives revenue across key territories, meets targets, and develops new income streams and client relationships. The role blends commercial focus with operational oversight, ensuring contracts, deliveries, RMS updates and internal communications are accurate, timely and aligned with global objectives. It also keeps the department and senior leadership fully informed on all deals, including during periods of absence.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Sales Manager, Distribution, drives revenue across key territories, meets targets, and develops new income streams and client relationships. The role blends commercial focus with operational oversight, ensuring contracts, deliveries, RMS updates and internal communications are accurate, timely and aligned with global objectives. It also keeps the department and senior leadership fully informed on all deals, including during periods of absence.
Specific Duties
Strategic Sales + Revenue Growth
- Drive revenue across key territories, meeting or exceeding targets.
- Lead complex, high-value negotiations across the slate.
- Shape and deliver regional strategies aligned with global goals.
- Own sales forecasting, and lead territory and buyer development.
- Build launch strategies for new scripted and unscripted titles.
- Partner with SVP Global Formats and Programme Sales on format deals.
- Focus on territories agreed with the Head of Distribution (initially Nordics, DACH, CEE and others).
- Build senior relationships with broadcasters, platforms and emerging buyers.
- Represent Avalon at key markets and festivals (e.g. MIPCOM, Series Mania, NEM, London Screenings).
- Act as lead contact for priority clients, ensuring smooth execution and long-term partnerships.
- Manage end-to-end deal processing, including contracts and delivery tracking.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records across RMS, sales trackers, availability lists and CRM.
- Implement new systems and tools as required.
- Ensure clear, accurate communication of deal terms across legal, finance, operations and marketing.
- Keep stakeholders fully informed on all deals, including during absence.
- Support forecasting and reporting with reliable sales data.
- Collaborate across teams and support senior colleagues as needed.
- Maintain high standards across all documentation, systems and reporting.
- Identify and resolve issues early to avoid risk.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and contractual obligations.
- Keep stakeholders informed at every stage, securing approvals where required.
About You
- Proven track record in international content distribution, spanning scripted and unscripted tape and format sales.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisation.
- Solid understanding of distribution operations, systems and workflows.
- Confident negotiator and relationship manager, experienced with senior stakeholders.
- Clear, effective communicator, keeping teams and leadership aligned on deal progress.
- Collaborative, working seamlessly across legal, finance, operations and marketing.
